AI creates ads faster. Humans make them memorable. The Super Bowl is a reminder of what actually works in advertising.
AI-driven ads have gained attention for their faster production, lower costs, and greater variety.
And yet, the ads people remembered and shared most were the ones with a human touch.
For example, Redfin x Rocket Mortgage’s “America Needs Neighbours Like You” ad focused on genuine emotion and everyday moments. It didn’t seem optimized for the algorithm. It felt made for people.
That’s the trade-off to think about right now.
AI is great for drafting and brainstorming ideas, but it doesn’t automatically create the emotional impact that builds resonance and trust.
Maybe the most practical use of AI is to speed up development and experiment with ideas early. But humans should remain responsible for the story, the feeling, and the message.
Part 2 coming soon. What do you think should stay fully human in the creative process?
