The Future of Shopping: Here’s What Retail Will Look Like in 2030

Consumer trends and demands are constantly shifting, but the pandemic has boosted these changes into overdrive. Advancements in interactive technology are allowing brands to keep up with this rapid evolution.  By 2030, the shopping scene will see drastic changes in fast purchasing, personalization, digital fashion, supply chain and logistics, and sustainability. 

In her recent article,Syte CEO Vered Levy-Ron discusses future eCommerce and retail trends. Instant shopping features could be integrated into streaming platforms like Netflix, allowing viewers to freeze frames, tap characters’ outfits and access links to these clothes in the customer’s size. Wearable visual AI such as smart glasses will provide users with information about any products they spot, enabling purchases with predefined morse code blinking styles. Fashion NFTs will flood the virtual world, seen on personal avatars for social media and video games, and consumers’ digital lives. 

These predictions may seem far-fetched or reminiscent of a sci-fi film, but they are already in development. The shopping experiences of tomorrow are more futuristic than you think.
