Print media is the oldest form of mass communication. It includes newspapers, magazines, weeklies, etc. One more form of print media is billboards. However, in recent times, there have been several developments in all these forms of media. They have advanced with technology and can no longer be categorized as just ‘print media’.
For this week’s video, we decided to share some 3D billboard examples that are worth paying attention to. As the average attention span of viewers is decreasing day by day, marketers are facing challenges to grab their attention in creative ways. Some have been successful so far and some are yet to step into this arena. Brands like Mcdonald’s and Adidas are trying different variations of advertising in different parts of the world. For instance, Adidas launched a 3D liquid billboard in Dubai with a swimming pool to access it. Its message involved women of Dubai taking a leap of faith.
There are many more examples like that presented in the video. It leads marketers to think beyond the usual and be able to capture the audience’s attention. Technology is a catalyst in making this possible.
