What if you could walk through your new living room before buying any of it?
Adobe published a patent application this month for an AI system that turns a typed description into a 3D space you can walk around in.
Picture typing “Scandinavian living room, under $5,000” into a furniture site, walking through the room it builds, then asking for sage walls instead of white.
Similarly, IKEA Kreativ places real products in a scan of your room, but you add each one yourself. A generated room could start finished, and you’d change it by asking.
For retailers, that means a shopper could see the $3,000 and $5,000 versions of the same room side by side and know what the extra money buys.
Outside furniture, any brand that builds physical spaces could use it. A retailer could walk through a rough version of a new store layout before construction starts, or test a pop-up with shoppers before booking the venue.
What would you want to walk through before you built it?
