Adobe is Tackling Bias in Image AI Tools

💡The inclusive AI you’ve been waiting for is on the way!

Adobe has filed a patent application for a “debiasing image to image translation model” to offset the lack of minority attributes in AI training data.

The software would oversample images with images of visible minorities, resulting in AI-generated image outputs more representative of the population’s diversity.

As marketers increasingly use AI in ad creation, this could mean more inclusive advertisements in the future.

🙌 This could also be a big win for small businesses that want to create inclusive ads. Today, small companies often have to choose between a cost-effective AI-created advertisement or the high price of a custom photo shoot with diverse models. With this software, they could get diverse ads with the ease and low cost of AI.
